Through the Clandon Park International Design Competition, the National Trust is searching for a world-class multidisciplinary design team to restore and reimagine Clandon Park, the Trust’s Grade I listed, 18th-century Palladian house, near Guildford in the southeast of England, which suffered a major fire two years ago.
The Trust envisages a sensitive and thoughtful restoration of some of the principal state rooms on the ground floor along with the introduction of new gallery spaces for imaginative programming and expanded visitor facilities on the upper levels.
All interested artists are invited to submit their concept ideas for the Genius Loci Weimar Festival between the opening date of 27 February 2017 up to the deadline of 09 April 2017. Submitted concepts will be displayed in a public exhibition in Weimar in May 2017. The best projects will chosen, among other means, with the help of an audience vote.
The Ross Pavilion International Design Competition focuses on regenerating and renewing an emblematic site at the heart of West Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh, which is presently occupied by the Ross Bandstand. The fifth Design Biennial Boston will recognize emerging architects, landscape architects, and designers who have created inspiring and innovative practices in New England. The program showcases the most significant design leaders among the region's early-career, independent professional talent through a juried exhibition, publication, and site-specific public installation on Boston’s Rose Kennedy Greenway. Up to four winners and one runner-up will be selected for 2017, based on a review of portfolios of prior work. Each winner will create an installation with a budget of up to $10,000 and gain access to the Autodesk BUILD Space in Boston’s Innovation and Design Building.

The 2017 SEGD Global Design Awards, the only international awards program focused on user experiences in the built environment, is now open for entries. Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set the standard of excellence for environmental graphic design and experiential graphic design, honoring design work that connects people to place by providing direction, content and compelling experiences in public spaces.
The Department of Architecture at Ferrara University, Italy, has the pleasure to announce the opening of registrations for the twelfth edition of the International Prize for Sustainable Architecture Fassa Bortolo dedicated to new works, redevelopments, existing building expansions, urban-scale interventions, landscape design and in any other project that clearly expresses the ideals of sustainability.
Individual professionals and architecture and engineering studios can take part on the competition, submitting one realized project, which must have been realized and completed within the past five years.
