Covering more than 840 m², it is the first office in Europe built entirely using a modular system — one that can be freely reconfigured without generating renovation waste or CO₂ emissions.

From increased flooding, longer dry spells, invasive pests, or new plant diseases, parks and gardens are uniquely vulnerable to shifts in climate. Scotland is now experiencing relative ‘Sea-level Rise’. All future projections expect the rate of this rise to speed up due to climate change /rising ocean temperatures.[1] The global mean sea level rose by 3.6mm per year from 2006–2015.[2] Estimated global mean ‘Sea-level Rise’ in the next 100 years is around half a metre.[3] There are local variations in sea level rise which have important effects on the UK. 1. The Festival des Architectures Vives offers the public an immersive exploration of the historic courtyards, architectural treasures of Montpellier, every year. The 2025 edition, held from June 10 to 15, featured 13 installations within these historic sites, attracting nearly 16,000 visitors and receiving very positive feedback.

The ARCHINESIA ASEAN Seminar is one of the most anticipated annual events for ARCHINESIA's readers and audience. This session brings together architects from across Southeast Asia to share their thoughts and ideas around a focused theme. For 2025, OBEL will grant two teaching fellowships of up to €75,000 and invite prospective fellows from around the world to apply in partnership with a host institution. The taught courses will preferably begin in 2026 (or soon thereafter) and revolve around the 2025 OBEL focus: Ready Made. The impacts of climate change, the ravages of conflict, the pressures of new development, and the inertia of neglect all require thoughtful, science-based strategies to safeguard our world's most treasured places.
In the face of the global housing crisis, the challenges of affordable and social housing go far beyond construction cost and speed—they encompass spatial quality, social equity, governance mechanisms, and environmental impact. Directly addressing these complexities, this July, the Institute of Smart City and Management - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH - ISCM), in collaboration with partners from Korea, Singapore, and Thailand, will host the International Conference Dwelling in Transition: Reimagining Affordable and Social Housing across Scales and Systems. The conference will be a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral platform for professionals to come together, share knowledge, and rethink the meaning of "affordability" through lenses of design, policymaking, finance, and sustainability.
