Bjarke Ingels and Brazilian Government Meet to Discuss Tourism Projects in Brazil

Bjarke Ingels, founding partner of BIG, visited representatives of the Brazilian Federal Government this Tuesday. The meeting brought together a delegation from the Be-Nômade group, which plans to invest in sustainable tourism in Brazil, the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, and the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro.

Since January 10th, the group has visited, in the company of Marcelo Álvaro and the executive secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Daniel Nepomuceno, the Route of Emotions, a route that includes the brazilian States of Ceará, Piauí and Maranhão. The places covered included the national parks of Jericoacoara (CE), Lençóis Maranhenses and the Delta of Parnaíba (PI).

Be-Nômade group is responsible, for example, for the consolidation of Tulum, in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, as a "sustainable" tourist destination. Ingels, in turn, has a wide range of architectural and urbanism projects in Europe, Asia and North America.

In order to explore the country's tourism potential, which has them studying the possibility of developing projects that will boost the travel sector, investors also met with representatives from the Ministries of Economy and Environment, the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, BNDES and Banco do Brasil.
