ARCHITECT magazine is now accepting entries for its 12th Annual R+D Awards! We would be grateful if you could share the competition details below with your network. The winners will published in ARCHITECT’s July 2018 issue and on our website. As with previous years, full-time students and faculty are eligible for a reduced registration fee!
With the array of digital, fabrication, collaboration, and analysis tools available, everyone in the built environment has the potential to produce groundbreaking, industry-changing work. To celebrate the state of the art, and the efforts that go behind them, ARCHITECT invites design firms, manufacturers, researchers, students, startups, and innovators in all building-related disciplines to enter its 12th annual R+D Awards. This distinctive program honors advances in architecture at every scale, from novel design and construction solutions to high-performance building systems and details, must-have products and digital tools, and newfound building typologies.
Categories:
Awards will be judged in three categories, reflecting different stages in the R+D process.
• Prototype: For entries that are in the experimental and testing phase.
• Production: For entries that are currently available on the commercial market.
• Application: For entries that demonstrate a novel use of a technology or product.
Deadlines and Fees:
Early bird: April 13, 2018 (discounted registration fee of $175 for the first entry, and $95 for each subsequent entry.)
Regular: April 20, 2018 (registration fee of $225 for the first entry, and $145 for each subsequent entry.)
Academic: $95 per entry for full-time faculty members, students, and researchers at educational institutions.
