Architecture City Guide: Los Angeles

The Architecture City Guide series heads to the West Coast this week.  Los Angeles area is huge and it was nearly impossible to narrow down 12 buildings for this weeks list.  Here’s what we suggest visiting if you are in LA, but we want to know what additional buildings you think we should add to our list!  Visit the comment section and provide your can’t miss buildings in LA.

The Bradbury Building by George H. Wyman is not mentioned??
It’s located at 304 South Broadway (at 3rd Street) in downtown.

i agree with all the other comments, here are more i can think of…

capitol records bldg (fantastic view on the northside of vine)

    lacma
    gehry’s house
    gamble house
    caltech morphosis building
    observatory
    hwood sign hike
    hollywood bowl
anson ford theater (across the freeway)
diamond ranch hs (worth the trip)
    barnsdall park/hollyhock
    kate mantilini
chemosphere (and basically every other famous lautner house)

stahl house is great only if you can get in, from the street you can’t see anything. flw’s storer house is just down the hill

Another one i forgot to mention:
The Department of Water and Power Building by AC Martin Partners.

It’s across the street the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and diagonal from the Disney Concert Hall.
