Proyecta is an exhibition centered on the very essence of professional architectural practice: the act of designing, giving way to creation, conceiving forms, and thereby conveying the ideas, thoughts, and ideals inherent to the authors of the designs. Each project tells a story from its inception, reconciling formal ideals with the specific requirements of each work. Often, the best projects may remain on the drawing board, be archived, or be realized only after undergoing transformations as part of the materialization process, always susceptible to modification due to the impact of the circumstances of their historical moment. In this way, the exhibition creates a space for new creative explorations toward the design of a new city.
nuevosnuevos launches in Madrid on Saturday, June 23, through nuevosENCUENTROS, an initiative addressing the central theme of "making the public public" throughout 2018. During the event, experts from various disciplines related to creation, thought, research, and communication will engage in open dialogue with the public regarding current urban issues, establishing an open and horizontal relationship that allows for the sharing of experiences and reflections.

This exhibition presents an architectural photography project by architect Alejandro Gómez, which draws parallels between buildings from different eras through their geometry, using framings that aim to depict elevations, almost devoid of scale. The selected buildings were designed by prestigious 20th and 21st-century architects.

The Congress of Scientific Initiation in Architecture and Urbanism (CICAU) is designed as a space for reflection and exchange for students, faculty, and graduates of architecture and related fields. Arquitectura y ciudad moderna en el sur de Chile. Memoria, territorio y proyecto is a book that originated from the "Surmoderno" seminar, "Valoración del Patrimonio Moderno en el Sur de Chile," held in Concepción in 2015. Two years later, following extensive editorial work, this volume was published to share and disseminate knowledge and reflections on the modern architecture developed in cities such as Chillán, Concepción, Talcahuano, Lota, Nacimiento, Osorno, and Punta Arenas—all of which exemplify the widespread development of this architectural style in the country.
PILOTO, Traveling Architecture Gallery showcases the work of young architects who stand out for exploring new production formats linked to art.
The works are presented through interventions in common spaces—such as bars, cafés, and community centers—located in various Chilean cities, with the goal of bringing the discipline closer to a wider audience.
The architects invited to participate in this first touring cycle hail from Concepción, Castro, Valdivia, and Santiago. Each faced the challenge of intervening in a space in a city other than their own, using a theme specific to the host city as the basis for their work, viewed through the lens of an outsider.
The second title in the series presents the city as a place for gathering and play; the event will take place at Sesc Avenida Paulista and includes an educational activity. Free admission.
