An architect dedicated to the visibility of women in our discipline, an architect working on the integration of technologies, an architect involved in research and dissemination, and an architect who integrates graphic and industrial design into their practice will be the guests for the second session of the project X FORMAS DE HACER ARQUITECTURA, taking place in the heart of Santiago next Thursday, September 27, at 7:00 PM at AriztiaLAB.
Known simply as XFORMAS, this is the latest session of the project led by Fabiola González and Yair Estay (TALLER25) alongside Nicolás Valencia (ArchDaily). "Today, architecture is an idealized profession, completely disconnected from the constant changes in society and the labor market," the organizers state. "Consequently, XFORMAS emerges as a space for discussion and for highlighting new ways of practicing architecture," they add.
XFORMAS is structured as a gender-balanced conversation space, featuring four guests per session and an active moderator in a format more akin to a television program than a lecture. According to the organizers, XFORMAS aims to become an opportunity to both articulate a network of emerging actors and practices in Chilean architecture and to foster an active, engaged discussion among young professionals and architecture students regarding current issues.
