Invitation to the First Regional Cultural Heritage Forum in Muriaé, MG
Under the theme "Cultural Heritage and Citizenship," the first edition of the Regional Cultural Heritage Forum will be held on August 17–18, 2018, in the city of Muriaé, Minas Gerais. The event will address the relationship between a sense of belonging, citizenship, and the preservation of cultural heritage through various thematic discussions. The Forum is part of the Cultural Heritage Exhibition program, which will take place from August 17 to 31, and includes workshops on heritage education, thematic exhibitions, and the 5th edition of the Cultural Heritage Incentive Award.

The Chapter’s Urbanism Commission will address the most prominent urban planning issues in the Monterrey metropolitan area and the state of Nuevo León. The Green Infrastructure Urban Design Workshop in Luz is a space for collective ideation, project development, and action in the Luz region of downtown São Paulo. The workshop is aimed at professionals, students, and those interested in urban environmental issues, particularly landscape projects that utilize Nature-Based Solutions (NBS). Building on the issues presented and discussed during the workshop, participants will engage in a practical activity to develop Green Infrastructure project proposals for the Luz region. Reference materials, research resources, maps, and drawing and writing supplies will be provided.

A Pavilion with a Greenhouse for a Botanical Park is the theme for the 11th edition of the Architecture Student Competition, a project promoted by the Brazilian Center for Steel Construction (CBCA). The theme is inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which aims to protect forests and combat desertification. Interested teams must register by July 25 and consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of four students. Each group must be advised by a professor from the same school or university and may also include a co-advisor.
