"Provisional Archive" Exhibition at the UDLA School of Architecture

The "Archivo Provisional" (Provisional Archive) exhibition initiates a research process centered on the Chilean Architecture and Urbanism Biennial. The exhibition aims to build a documentary body based on the architecture biennial—allowing it to be understood as a subject of historical research—and to share this documentation with both general and specialized audiences. It views the act of exhibiting as the construction of common goods for collective research into the intersection of architecture and the public sphere.

Lecture: Tactical Urbanism – Placemaking

Inhabiting the Air: Santiago Cirugeda to Intervene in Nave 11 at Matadero Madrid

Artist and social architect Santiago Cirugeda will build a house suspended in mid-air inside Nave 11, developing its full artistic potential by inviting creators—Llorenç Barber and Montserrat Palacios, Ignacio Marín Bocanegra, Vértebro, and Los Bárbaros—as well as spectators, to live in and experience it. Once its time at Naves Matadero concludes, the house will be rebuilt by members of the Network of Feminist Women for Gender Equity in Development; the Amalgama Association, a group of Latin American women fighting against gender-based violence; and the Dinamia Cooperative and Trabe Foundation, both of which specialize in integration processes.

    Chilean architect Emilio Duhart (1917–2006) and the University of Concepción (founded in 1919) have been inextricably linked since 1957, when Duhart began a ten-year tenure leading the expansion project for the university campus in Concepción.
