The 11th edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival: Learning to Unlearn
Architecture welcomes cultures and people from all walks of life. However, it does not always address pressing issues such as social justice, the ecological crisis, and decolonization, often at the expense of a dominant Western paradigm in education and professional practice. The Arquiteturas Film Festival 2024 seeks to challenge this hegemony by reflecting on the discourses embedded in the discipline.

The Growarq Week is an event dedicated to architects, engineers, designers, and students looking to revolutionize their design process through a methodology that combines two software programs: Revit and Lumion. “Húsares trágicos” (Tragic Hussars) is a collective exhibition featuring the work of 17 contemporary artists at the Casas de los Carrera National Monument in El Monte. Built in the mid-18th century, the site was the home of José Miguel and Javiera Carrera, key figures in the Chilean War of Independence.
Under the theme "The Resistance of the Territory," the 7th Congress of Heritage Communities will take place on June 15, 16, and 17, 2018. This event invites organizations mobilized for the defense and development of cultural and natural heritage from across the country to gather at this Congress, coordinated by the AntofaPatrimonial Sociocultural Collective.

Throughout 2018, World Design Capital CDMX has presented a program divided into formal events, as well as a local agenda featuring academic activities such as the Inter-University Circuit, which aims to foster academic interaction and create a collaborative platform among universities, schools, and design educational institutions throughout the year.
PILOTO, Traveling Architecture Gallery showcases the work of young architects who stand out for exploring new production formats linked to art.
The works are presented through interventions in common spaces—such as bars, cafés, and community centers—located in various Chilean cities, with the goal of bringing the discipline closer to a wider audience.
The architects invited to participate in this first touring cycle hail from Concepción, Castro, Valdivia, and Santiago. Each faced the challenge of intervening in a space in a city other than their own, using a theme specific to the host city as the basis for their work, viewed through the lens of an outsider.
On June 2nd, the "Musée de la Romanité" will open to the public in Nîmes, France. The project was designed by Brazilian architect and urban planner Elizabeth de Portzamparc, who won the international competition held by the city's municipal government in 2012.
Under the title "Habitación" and as part of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] at the EA USS, architects Cristián Izquierdo and Emilio Marín will discuss program and residential architecture, considering contemporary commissions and ways of living. On this occasion, the guests will present the Morrillos House and the LF35 residential building, respectively. The panel will be moderated by Ernesto Silva, a USS faculty member and director of the EA Santiago campus.
Exhibition “To the Public What Is Public” and Launch of the Publication “Mythologies of the Choreographic Terreyro”
As part of the launch initiatives for the 1st Instituto Tomie Ohtake Leroy Merlin Design Award, the "Contemporary Design" symposium brings together a series of guests and experts to debate three key themes. The discussion begins with the theme of "sharing," featuring Celso Longo and Gustavo Piqueira, who will address the day-to-day realities of their professional practice. This is followed by a discussion on the relationship between design and technology with Cláudio Bueno and H.D. Mabuse, and concludes with a panel on design and sustainability featuring Hugo França and Jackson Araújo.
On Friday, June 15, the book launch for the Editorial USM publication written by Sandro Maino, a professor in the Department of Architecture at the Federico Santa María Technical University, will take place. The book is the result of twelve years of research, cross-referencing consultations in the Borchers archive with the study and reading of his sources, complemented by travels and visits to the works he analyzed, with the primary goal of reconstructing his trajectory.
The Museu da Casa Brasileira, an institution of the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, will open the exhibition 'Experiencing Le Corbusier – Contemporary Interpretations of Modernism' on Saturday, June 16, at 2:00 PM.
