Urb-i (www.urb-i.com) is launching the fifth edition of its collaborative design challenge, this time in partnership with the Maria da Gente movement. The chosen site is Rua Maria Antônia, in downtown São Paulo, directly in front of Mackenzie.
Anyone passing through, whether by car or on foot, knows the street is unsafe for everyone. Daily risks abound: speeding drivers, disregard for pedestrian crossings, people crossing anywhere, sidewalks cluttered with obstacles and lacking social spaces, poor signage, and a lack of organization for loading and unloading, among other issues.
