The "Corredor Sur" project—a partnership between the collectives TransLAB.URB (Porto Alegre, Brazil), Urbanismo Vivo (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and FADU (Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism at the University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay)—began in November 2017 and is now seeing its first results.
With the goal of promoting best practices in urban activism and bridging the gap between academia, civil society, the private sector, and public administration, this regional integration corridor has spent the first semester exploring urban intervention projects based on methodologies and tools derived from Placemaking and Tactical Urbanism.
