Expo Desarrollo Inmobiliario: The Real Estate Show is the most important real estate event in Mexico and Latin America. Taking place this year on May 23rd and 24th at the Westin Santa Fe in Mexico City, the two-day event will bring together industry members, experts, and decision-makers to analyze the opportunities and challenges facing the industry and the country as they navigate the complex situation of recent years.

In 2023, we are hosting the inaugural edition of the "Camacol Verde Congress," a forum designed to update the sector on sustainable construction, featuring key players from both the international and national environmental landscapes.

A gathering to screen and discuss the documentary "Hacer mucho con poco" (Doing More with Less), directed by Katerina Kliwadenko and Mario Novas and co-produced with Al Borde. The film highlights local values—both material and human—and is characterized by the social, economic, and environmental awareness with which young architects approach their projects.

This is the first congress presented by the Mexican collective ARQUITECTAS.MX, a space dedicated to reflecting on, connecting, and strengthening the role of women within the profession. Centered on a gender perspective, the program will feature a dialogue between architects Loreta Castro and Nuria Benítez, moderated by Sheila Ferniza, followed by a discussion joined by Sharlinee Ceniceros and Cordelia Portilla.

Considered the most important national forum for discussion, professional development, and the dissemination of technical-scientific information focused on wood-applied sciences, this 18th edition of the event will bring together researchers and professionals from Brazil and abroad who are interested in expanding their knowledge and seeking new partners in the timber construction sector.

The Spanish Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters (ANIEME) invites you to Design Workspace Madrid 2024. This event is aimed at the professional office and contract furniture and equipment sector, featuring leading brands in the industry at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.

In 2024, we are hosting the second edition of the Camacol Verde Congress, a forum designed to update the sector on sustainable construction through insights from key figures in both the international and national environmental landscapes.

The "3rd Seminar and 1st National Meeting of Experimental Construction Sites," to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from May 27 to 30, 2024, aims to bring together professors, researchers, technicians, students, and communities involved in architectural production within Experimental Construction Sites at Schools of Architecture and Urbanism, as well as independent territories across Brazil and the world, to exchange experiences in teaching, research, and university outreach. With this in mind, the event seeks to create spaces for the exchange of ideas and debates regarding different pedagogical methods, objectives, and technologies, as well as procedures and action strategies for operating both within formal academic spaces and externally, through practical formative actions addressing the country's social needs in rural and urban housing, and the various public buildings still lacking in Brazilian society.
OBJECTIVES:
3rd Seminar
• Recover the history and origins of experimental architectural construction sites.
• Debate principles and issues relevant to experimental construction sites, including the current global socio-environmental crisis, with guests from civil society and professors from Brazilian and international architecture schools.
• Commemorate and reflect on the 25th anniversary of the FAU USP experimental construction site with the launch of a photographic exhibition.
1st RENACE Meeting
• Establish a national network by identifying existing construction sites in Brazil through presentation circles and exhibitions of teaching, research, and outreach work.
• Collaborate on the practical realization of independent architecture through collective construction workshops.
• Disseminate the dialogical pedagogical method to those interested in creating new experimental construction sites.
• Explore experiences through visits to nearby experimental construction sites.

The International Congress on Higher Education Infrastructure (CIIES) is a pioneering event in Latin America, organized by the Infrastructure Directorate of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM). Since its inception in 2010, CIIES has established itself as a fundamental platform for discussing and developing innovative solutions in educational infrastructure. The event brings together national and international experts to address the challenges and opportunities facing educational infrastructure in an ever-evolving world.

The Architecture and Urbanism Student Day, which functions as a "mini" gathering, aims to promote interaction and dialogue among students in the field, reaching a wide spectrum of schools in the region where it is held. In the São Paulo Regional, this event is conducted through workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, and is offered free of charge. It takes place in strategic locations throughout the state, over a single day, with a specific theme.

Welcome to "Best House in the World," a new competition to discover and reward residential architectural designs currently in the development or bidding phase, prior to construction. These are real projects, with real clients and sites, designed by architects who aim to reach new standards of excellence and quality in the construction of their residential work.

The Open Day, hosted annually by the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), invites eyewear retail giant Luxottica to this year's edition to teach the public how to prototype eyewear models as if they were for a new brand within the group. The experience will take place this Saturday, May 4, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the IED-SP campus, located at 617 Maranhão Street. A recurring theme in the work of artist Lígia Teixeira, the female universe and its social questions and representations are currently on display in Rio de Janeiro in the exhibition “Confinadas” (Confined), curated by Osvaldo Carvalho. This body of work was one of three selected from 300 entries in the 6th Piccola Galleria Selection Program, which she presented at the Casa Fiat de Cultura in Belo Horizonte last year. For the exhibition at the Centro Cultural Correios, several new series were developed addressing ageism, as well as issues of race and gender—illustrated by Black and trans brides, among other works—totaling approximately 50 small-format paintings and one large-format canvas. There is also a series titled “Caladas” (Silenced), in which masked women allude to the persistent difficulty regarding the female voice in society.

Starting today, Sesc São Paulo is hosting the Arquite-Tô project, which invites the public to imagine how the arts and architecture can articulate knowledge and more democratic ways of building, inhabiting, and enjoying space.

The project takes place at the Sesc Pinheiros unit, with a program that includes lectures, theatrical performances, workshops, film screenings, and other activities that engage with architecture and the city.

The second edition of this week-long series of urbanism-related activities will highlight the transformative power of walking. To this end, we are joining the international Jane's Walk community to honor the life and work of urbanist, activist, writer, and journalist Jane Jacobs, and to host the debut of Jane's Walk Porto Alegre!
