The Architecture and Urbanism Student Day, which functions as a "mini" gathering, aims to promote interaction and dialogue among students in the field, reaching a wide spectrum of schools in the region where it is held. In the São Paulo Regional, this event is conducted through workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, and is offered free of charge. It takes place in strategic locations throughout the state, over a single day, with a specific theme.
This year, the 5th edition of the event will be hosted in Ribeirão Preto, under the theme "Participatory Processes: Who Plans Our Cities?" This theme seeks to spark reflection on the importance of community participation in urban planning processes, addressing issues such as social inclusion, participatory democracy, and the responsibility of architects and urban planners in creating spaces that meet the needs and aspirations of the population.
The event is scheduled for May 4th and is being organized by the National Federation of Architecture Students, São Paulo Regional. The Architecture and Urbanism Student Day in Ribeirão Preto is expected to provide an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas, the sharing of experiences, and the strengthening of a sense of community among students and professionals in the field.
