The "Landscape Architecture" specialization aims to train specialists committed to landscape planning and intervention from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering environmental, social, and cultural issues. The program has the potential to attract a nationwide audience due to the contemporary discourse on landscape, the need to update concepts—expanding the functional aspect of the landscape—and the broadening of perspectives through methodological practices aimed at long-term urban sustainability, resilience, and responses to urban ecosystem services. The online format facilitates reaching a more diverse audience, targeting independent professionals or those employed by private companies, public agencies, or non-governmental organizations who hold an undergraduate degree.

The TRANSFER Architecture Video Award is an independent prize, launched in 2019, to recognize the most creative and innovative videos in the fields of architecture, the city, and landscape on an international level.

Materials 2050: Reuse and Recycle

Arquitectura en Corto invites you to the screening of the short film Les Matérialistes, which will take place on Wednesday, January 29, at 7:00 PM at the Arquia Foundation (c/Tutor, 16, Madrid). What construction materials will be used in 2050? Directors Jonathan Lapalme and Meggan Collins define Les Matérialistes as a docufiction film that blends current data with future projections to invite a collective reflection on the model shift required to transition toward a circular economy and carbon neutrality. Following the screening, the event will feature Alicia Carvajal, an architect from Dark Matter Labs—one of the organizations that supported the short film and the Les Matérialistes project—along with Lucas Muñoz, a designer recognized for his reuse of materials in his projects, and Albert Sagrera, an architect and environmental consultant specializing in the environmental impact of materials and construction waste management.

The Centro Cultural Correios Rio de Janeiro presents the exhibition Terra, the first solo show by São Paulo-based visual artist Zilah Garcia, from January 22 to March 8, 2025. Curated by the Rio de Janeiro-based art historian, critic, professor, and researcher Daniele Machado, the exhibition brings together approximately 20 pieces from two series that intertwine affective memory, sustainability, and technical innovation in artistic practice, all inspired by the classic Os sertões by Euclides da Cunha.
