The XXV Pan-American Biennial of Architecture of Quito – PROHIBIDO NO TOCAR, organized by the Colegio de Arquitectos del Ecuador Pichincha (CAE-P), has opened the call for entries for the Playful-Educational Pavilion Design Competition, an initiative that will intervene in nine strategic public spaces across the city of Quito.
In its twenty-fifth edition, the Biennial presents a clear premise: architecture is not meant to be observed from a distance; it is meant to be experienced through contact. PROHIBIDO NO TOCAR is not articulated solely through history; it reaches out with open hands to recognize what remains alive, identify what no longer resonates, and reaffirm that architecture is essential.
