"The Work is the Game"
Solo exhibition by Dorys Daher opens at the Centro Cultural Correios, downtown, on January 22
An immersive experience that bridges the worlds of billiards, architecture, and the visual arts. This is the premise of artist Dorys Daher’s exhibition "The Work is the Game," opening January 22 at the Centro Cultural Correios, with curation by Aline Reis. The exhibition is free to the public and will be on view through March 8, 2025.
Through her work, she explores the relationship between space and play, moving across multiple contemporary mediums: photographs printed on fabric and vinyl, a panel featuring eight stainless steel modules (each measuring 60 by 100 cm), a marble sculpture incorporating billiard balls, wooden cues, and even an embroidered linen tablecloth.
