From June 25 to August 26, the last of six calls for the International Ideas Competition for Expo 2023 is open. This submission, open to all architecture professionals who wish to participate, involves the design of the main boulevard and a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists.

Organized by the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos (SCA) and the Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (CAPBA), and sponsored by the Federación Argentina de Entidades de Arquitectos (FADEA), this sixth competition covers the design of a public space that will become a major science and knowledge park once the Expo concludes.

“Thematic Pavilions” is the fifth of six international ideas competitions for the construction of the Expo 2023 buildings. The event was awarded to Argentina following a vote at the General Assembly of the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions).

From June 18 through Monday, August 5, architecture professionals are invited to submit design proposals for the two Thematic Pavilions. Following the exhibition, these structures will be repurposed as spaces for participatory, interactive, and immersive activities focused on creativity and knowledge.

Eco-Shore 2019

The Union of Moscow architects invites you to participate in the Russian competition with international participation which designed to develop the architectural concept of an eco-regeneration of the Sutoloka river.

The competition will be held in the framework of the 9th international festival Eco-Shore 2019. All submitted projects will be exhibited from 22 to 24 August 2019 in Ufa`s art-space Art-KVADRAT.

The major tasks that should be solved by the participants of the competition are the creation of a comfortable coastal zone, equally attractive for walking and for the placement of river infrastructure, the development of a new urban center of gravity, organically inscribed in the existing environment.

Through the "Casa Violeta Parra, Collective Space" competition, and with the goal of creating an architectural space that functions as a Transitional Shelter for Women Victims of Gender-Based Violence, Proyecto Habitar and Aparecida En Red Ando invite students and graduates to develop a critical perspective on the present, investigating the production processes of current spaces to design a future space that fosters fair and democratic social relationships.

YAC - Young Architects Competitions launches “Sport Citadel”, a competition of ideas aiming to design a sport citadel near Turin, in one of the largest sport districts in Europe. Where trade and even countries were valued based on how much gold reserves they had in the past. In today’s context, trade depends on technology and the currency here is information. The millions of gigabytes of data that flow over the internet fuels the economy today. Where stealing gold is deemed a crime and is identified by everyone as a crime. But when it comes to information, all the applications, internet service providers, devices like Alexa and corporations are running on this data.

Books undisputedly play an unparalleled role in shaping the destinies of both individuals and societies alike and nothing guides man more effectively than books. However, it is a sad reflection that amongst other positive social values the culture of reading has also persistently been declining across the world. Libraries were the ‘cool’ places of our cultural fabric until the modern age. But with the invention of internet and an onslaught of digital revolution, libraries and reading spaces lost their essence and aura. To revive the diminishing reading culture what we immediately need is to re-interpret the image of a reading space and make it look more appealing to the masses.

HOUSE CHALLENGE is pleased to announce its annual international design competition: House Challenge 2019 - Desert House. The competition is designed to challenge and seek the creation of a temporary dwelling with ideas and concepts in architectural design, landscape design and site planning. The aim of this competition is to promote our ideas of exploring the possibilities for living in harsh environments, as well as simultaneously raising awareness of the environmental sustainability.

This competition is a call for national and international architects (licensed to practice in Chile) to submit a preliminary design for the building that will house the facilities of the Investigations Police (PDI) of the Biobío Region, Chile.

From June 11 to July 29, the fourth of six calls for entries for the International Ideas Competition for Expo 2023 is open. This call, open to all architects wishing to participate, involves the design of the Antenna and Lookout, which will be located on the site's central boulevard.

From June 4 through Monday, July 22, all architects wishing to participate may submit design proposals for the International Pavilions complex, which will be converted into a Creative Business Campus following the exhibition.

The Compagnie des Notaires de Paris building, located in the heart of the capital at the Place du Châtelet, is undergoing a transformation, and an architectural competition is currently underway.

Call for Exemplary Construction Projects, Visionary Design Concepts

The LafargeHolcim Awards seeks leading projects of professionals as well as bold ideas from the Next Generation that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence.
