From March 5 to 9, 2019, the second BAMBOO EXPERIENCE CAMP workshop will take place in Azpitia, an hour from Lima. This construction workshop is organized by Bamboo Green Cities as a social collaboration project that combines technical training in bamboo construction with community-focused goals, serving as a tool for change. On this occasion, Azpitia, in the Mala Valley, invites us to highlight its identity as a hub for bamboo, apples, and pisco.

Paris La Défense is seeking to vitalise the ‘interstitial volumes’ that lie beneath its central esplanade, interlocked with underground infrastructures. Located at the heart of La Défense, those spaces are very close to public transport and offer high potential due to their distinctive size and morphology. The aim is to use them to develop a new offering of activities accessible to the public – and see a lively and unusual destination emerge as a result. Paris La Défense, as the urban planner, developer and manager of the business district, is launching a competitive dialogue process. The purpose to this process is to award an architectural, programming, engineering and planning services framework agreement for the vitalisation of the central residual volumes. A bonus of 200 000 € will be given to the selected candidates who will complete the procedure.

Fast Foward, the theme of MAM'19, has expanded its audience. It is now bilingual and intends to explore the future and themes that are inseparable from it: territory, landscape, environment, architecture, technology, mobility and society.
The initiative, promoted by the City Council of Maia, was created by Atelier Andreia Garcia Architectural Affairs of the Portuguese architect Andreia Garciam, who is also curating the event.

A masterful use of space and the thoughtful application of materials lend a solid character to the work, which seeks to improve the quality of life for its inhabitants and the cities it occupies.
The book "Industria y habitar colectivo. Conjuntos habitacionales en el sur de Chile" [Industry and Collective Living: Housing Complexes in Southern Chile], recently published by STOQ Editorial, emerges from an academic research project: "CONYCYT-PIA SOC.1403 Industrial Heritage: Forms of Collective Living in Southern Chile. Contributions to its Valorization and Integrated Recovery." The primary objective of this project was to understand the forms of collective living associated with housing complexes created by industry in the southern part of the country.
