Brick Visual: A Decade of Architectural Visualization and Communications

 | Sponsored Content

Architectural projects have been growing in complexity at an exponential pace while delivery times have shortened. In response to these demands, specialized visualization studios have become essential to architects and firms with high demands and tight deadlines. Brick Visual, the Budapest-based high-end visualization studio, reflects on its 10 years in the industry and the current state of architectural visualization.

Brick Visual was founded in 2012 by a few ambitious young professionals whose dream was to create visuals for the most reputed architecture firms around the globe. From a small downtown apartment in Budapest, the handful of visualizers worked to address the needs of its clients while building a culture of innovation and artistic excellence. Since then, the small Hungarian collective transitioned into an international team of nearly 100 experts, who are based in their loft headquarters in Budapest, and satellite offices in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and Verona, Italy.

4th Meeting on Art, City, and Urbanities

The 4th Art, City, and Urbanities Meeting proposes a dialogue with the concepts of "borders" and "confluences" to foster reflection on the current urgencies and emergencies of art within urban space and the context of the geopolitical dynamics involving Brazil's North and Northeast regions. In doing so, we ask: what can we learn about urban contexts when we bring such diverse regions together? We know that, despite their diversity, cities face similar challenges. Political, economic, and environmental divisions increasingly reinforce separations, privileges, and dynamics of marginalization. Such conditions delineate and reinforce borders beyond the geographical, affecting the quality of life for humans and more-than-humans, as well as prospects for a collective future.

Call for Submissions: Dobrich City Center Architectural Competition

Dobrich is a city in the eastern part of Bulgaria, situated in the Eastern part of Europe. A city with a population of about 80,000 people, it aspires to building a central urban environment of modern, global standards. Pleasant, comfortable, safe and attractive, it prides itself in involving its citizens in defining its vision for development.

The transformation process must take into consideration not only the economic, social and cultural realities, but also the unique historical past and traditions of the city. Specific “urban heritage” must be the starting point for the development of an urban policy. By transforming the city we are indirectly transforming the lives of its citizens, and this is a process in which they cannot be indifferent.

"Intangible Path" by Zaickz Moz

Camino Intangible

Course "Heritage, a non-linear path"

A course shaped by journeys. The city is a space for constructing knowledge, and walking serves as the tool for a critical analysis of its conditions of existence. Cultural heritage is, above all, how we live, socialize, navigate, and think over time; it is about how we engage with what exists and what we produce for the future. Through four routes across different neighborhoods in São Paulo, the classes seek to deepen the analysis of the city through the lens of cultural heritage and explore the development of routes as a tool for inquiry. Cultural references, urban heritage, daily uses, the obsolete, politics, and the fetishization of cultural heritage will be the guiding themes of the activities.
