In this seminar, Sinaenco proposes an analysis of the challenges involved in implementing the BIM Agenda in Brazil, considering the expectation that the methodology will be widespread in public works within 10 years. Starting in 2021, certain federal government agencies are expected to require BIM for the development of architectural and engineering models.
The institution is hosting an exhibition, a talk, an urban expedition, and a collective action designed to encourage the public to reflect on the influence of design in social environments.
Spanning 9 hours and held on Tuesdays—December 4, 11, and 18—the course "Great Themes in Architecture: Cities" will be taught by Professor Heloisa Dallari, an architect with a PhD in Architecture from the USP School of Architecture and Urbanism, a professor of undergraduate and graduate courses at FAAP, and a lecturer and consultant in Interior Design.

Tegra, a real estate developer under the Brookfield Group, is hosting Eduardo Borém at Casa Tegra. A graduate in industrial design from the University of Brasília and a partner at the firm Borém e Borém Design e Interiores, the designer is consistently involved in multidisciplinary and creative projects spanning decor, furniture, music, photography, writing, poetry, and the visual arts. At Casa Tegra, Borém will lead a discussion on the role of design in recontextualizing spaces and objects, explaining how to integrate technique, functionality, and aesthetics with emotion.

The IAB-MG Urban Kindness Award was conceived, developed, and launched by the Minas Gerais Department of the Institute of Architects of Brazil 24 years ago, in 1993. Since then, its objective has been to encourage diverse initiatives from both individuals and legal entities that contribute to improving the quality of urban life. The core idea is to reward and value the small acts and attitudes of citizens that help make city life better every day. Urban Kindness refers to attitudes, gestures, and interventions that foster a new perspective on the city, promoting the preservation of its cultural and natural heritage and expanding the concept of citizenship.

CONGRESS ON ARCHITECTURE, TOURISM AND SUSTAINABILITY - CATS
For the fourth time in Cataguases, the Congress of Architecture, Tourism, and Sustainability (CATS) will bring together hundreds of professionals, students, researchers, and the general public to discuss the preservation of historical heritage. Founded in 2016 by three architecture and urbanism students—Matheus Pereira, Ellen Corrêa, and Yasmim Amorim—driven by a desire to analyze urban space and engage in a deeper discussion about São Paulo's architecture and its layers, the project was born from a desire to inspire architecture and urbanism students, as well as those interested in the field, to develop a new perception of space through the observation of the city and the places we inhabit daily, which often go unnoticed despite their significance.
Launch of the first issue of América - Postgraduate Journal of Escola da Cidade, at Sesc - Research and Training Center
The graduate program at Escola da Cidade, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2018, currently offers four regular courses: ‘Housing and City,’ ‘Geography, City and Architecture,’ ‘Architecture, Education and Society,’ and ‘Mobility – Its Logics and Scales.’ In 2019, the program will expand to include the course ‘Conceiving and Constructing: Lightweight Structures and Prefabrication.’
In their first solo photography exhibition, the artist presents 10 works that showcase, through their own perception, the visual re-signification of building facades in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Belo Horizonte. Contrasts of light and shadow create lines, shapes, and angles that appear as figures distinct from the photographed reality. The abstract result of this work establishes a connection with Brazilian modernism, particularly with the centenary of Athos Bulcão and their panels.
