On October 23, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Escola da Cidade – School of Architecture and Urbanism will host the third meeting of its 2018 Portas Abertas (Open House) program. The event will open with remarks by architect Anderson Freitas, a member of the board of the Associação Escola da Cidade. Following this, architects and professors Roberto Alfredo Pompéia and Maria Rosa Almeida will lead an interactive class titled “Principles of Architectural Structure,” where participants will build structural models using everyday materials to better understand architectural construction.
The Portas Abertas program consists of a series of activities designed for prospective students interested in enrolling in an Architecture and Urbanism program. Launched in 2017, the program aims to provide students with the opportunity to experience the school firsthand, exploring its facilities and interacting with faculty and current students.
