Enscape is well known for it’s speed and ease of use, making it a favorite among architects and designers worldwide. Recent updates enhance design workflows even further, and help improve realism and storytelling. This article will introduce these new tools, and show you how they work.
AI rendering in Veras and Enscape
Veras is an AI rendering tool that works within Enscape and design tools including Revit and SketchUp. It can be used to quickly generate design variations based on your current scene, refine early concepts with custom prompts, and turn still images into short animated videos.
How to generate design ideas with Veras and Enscape
Veras can create rendered variations of your scene and is often used for ideation in the earliest stages of design.
- Open your project and scene in Enscape.
- Navigate to the Veras panel.
- Select from various pre-built prompt presets.
- Click Render and let Veras generate multiple AI-generated design variations of your scene.

How to refine your concepts with Veras
For more control over your AI-generated designs, such as retaining certain elements while changing others, follow these steps:
- Open the Compose panel in Veras.
- Add additional prompts (e.g., “keep the grass mostly green”) for greater control of the results.
- Use the Geometry and Material Override sliders to blend AI creativity with your existing design. Adjusting the slider halfway retains some original elements of your original project, while introducing some fresh, distinct changes.

How to go from image-to-video in Veras
With Veras 3.0, it’s possible to turn a static image into a short animated video. You can add weather effects, go from day to night, add moving people, cars, or water, and more.
- Select the 'Video' tab
- Add an image (it can be a visual from your Enscape scene)
- Type a prompt to describe your video preferences (e.g., panning camera, add rain, add moving people walking past building).
- Click ‘Render’
- The video creation process itself takes a couple of minutes.
AI Enhancer: Image refinement in your design tool
With the click of a button, the Chaos AI Enhancer improves the realism of your visualization, specifically people and vegetation. You can even adjust clothing styles, age, or the ethnicity of your people assets.
How to enhance an Enscape image with the AI Enhancer
- Go to a named view or navigate inside your Enscape viewport to set up a view you want to export.
- Click the AI Enhancer button in Enscape.
- Your image is sent to the cloud, processed, and returned with two versions: original and enhanced.

Render-ready assets with the Cosmos library
With Enscape 4.11 and above, Chaos Cosmos is now the default integrated asset library for Enscape. This means access to thousands of high-quality assets, materials, and HDRI skies. In the coming months, batches of new assets will be added, as well as a new AI Material Generator for fast PBR material creation from a single image.
How to access the asset library in Enscape
- Click on the asset library icon in the toolbar.
- Use the menu categories, filter options, or search bar to refine your search.
- Hover over an asset thumbnail and click the green Import button to bring it into your project.
- Click the Plus (+) button on the asset to open a larger preview and see additional information such as category, space, color, and other metadata. From this panel, you can also click Import to place the asset into your scene.
- Upon placement, the Cosmos asset becomes an Enscape Component, and you can scale, move, and rotate it.
