Webnet Metal Mesh and Webnet Modular Railing System were used in the Lake Garda Cycle Path, located in Italy. This project, spanning along the cliffs of Lake Garda, required a railing solution that ensured safety while preserving visibility in a scenic and challenging environment.

The Lake Garda Cycle Path is an elevated pathway constructed to hover 50 meters above the water, providing breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The project aimed to offer a seamless blend of safety and unobstructed sightlines while withstanding environmental factors such as wind loads and weather exposure. Webnet’s nearly invisible stainless steel mesh was selected for its high durability, corrosion resistance, and adaptability to the rugged topography, ensuring both structural integrity and minimal visual interference.

To meet the project’s functional and aesthetic requirements, Jakob Rope Systems provided a flexible yet robust safety solution. Webnet’s lightweight design allows for easy integration into the railing system without compromising security. Its low maintenance and long-lasting performance make it ideal for demanding locations such as elevated walkways, bridges, and urban infrastructure. The success of Webnet in this project underscores its versatility, with applications also seen in projects like the High Line in New York and the Hardberger Park Skywalk in Texas, further demonstrating its effectiveness in both urban and natural landscapes.
