Heart Oak Planks from Dinesen is created by using the middle of the large Oak trees. The result is floorboards with extraordinary dimensions. The natural features of the wood are prominent in the flooring.

Features

• Locked by Butterfly Joints
  The wood of Heart Oak is filled with a story from its life as a tree. These include the annual rings and the size of the knots. When the tree is sawn-up the wood releases inner tensions leaving characteristic cracks. These cracks are preserved and locked by butterfly joints made from Oak.
  
  
• Large Dimensions
  The raw wood is sourced from large oak trees that were planted between five and six generations before. This allows for large dimensions with widths up to 50 cm and lengths up to 5m.
  
  
• Sustainable
  Raw wood is sourced from sustainable forestry. This includes forests in Germany and other European countries where forestry has been based on sustainable principles for centuries.
  
  
• Underfloor Heating
  The planks are well-suited for underfloor heating, with about 80% of Dinesen's projects incorporating it under the floors.
