Roofing Membrane in Nike European Logistics Campus | Elevate EMEA

Elevate EMEA's roofing membrane system and primer were used in the construction of the Nike European Logistics Campus. The new building is a modern architectural project, located near the city of Antwerp in Belgium, its construction practiced high standards of sustainability and operation. The campus includes integrated industrial spaces, offices, retail outlets, and recreational areas. The roof design offers a variety of roofing solutions including solar and green roof systems.

Design Concept

Designed by Jaspers-Eyers Architects, the concept for the Nike European Logistics Campus was to create a new standard for sustainable construction and operations. To create a precedent for how to build and run a place in an eco-friendly way. The project is divided into two parts: the Wings and Court campuses spanning an area of 60,000 square meters. Each one is about the size of 12 football fields.

Roof System

Central to the allure of the Logistics Campus is its carefully designed roofing system, which had to meet a variety of demanding requirements. With that in mind, it was decided to use Elevate UltraPly TPO roofing membrane for the project, due to its durability and versatility, providing excellent weather resistance and optimal energy management. Also, in adherence to stringent FM (Factory Mutual) requirements, a specific DensDeck Prime 5/8 “ (15.8 mm) cover board serves as a fire barrier beneath the roof waterproofing, seamlessly integrating with the solar panel infrastructure. This innovative approach ensures safety and contributes to sustainable energy generation.

As an ever-evolving project, the Nike European Logistics Campus remains at the forefront of innovation. With the ongoing construction of High Bay 2 and 3 of the Court building, the campus demonstrates its commitment to adapting to emerging demands and technological advancements.
