Color PVB Interlayers in the Renovation of a Bank | Vanceva

Vanceva gives architects and designers creative freedom by producing a broad spectrum of colors for laminated glass. The Color PVB Interlayers from Vanceva can be mixed to create over 170000 transparent, translucent, or opaque colors for the desired tone and intensity. Vanceva Color PVB Interlayers were employed in the renovation of the Raiffeisenbank Schaffhausen bank in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

The Color PVB Interlayers were used in the all-glass facade, the bank’s interior wall, and opposing interior walls in the three meeting room. The facade was transformed into a pattern of rhomboid glass shingles to imitate the bank’s original honeycomb logo. The facade shows the colors, lights, and reflections from the bank’s interior.

Along the interior walls and the opposing interior walls, deep red, orange, yellow, and clear overlapping rhomboid glass shingles were hung. The warm mix of colorful glass stands out against the neutral tones of the floor, ceiling, walls, and furnishings.

The glass shingles were made of two 4-mm laminated Vanceva Color PVB Interlayers layered with a combination of up to four colored films. The shingles were mounted on white laminated metal sheeting with custom-made wire brackets and backlit with LED lighting.

The renovation of the Raiffeisenbank Schaffhausen Bank won a World of Color Awards Honorable Mention in 2014.
