Student ideas competition seeks proposals for the humanization of Ibirapuera Park

Since 1927, the most visited park in South America has undergone various projects, culminating in its completion for the 4th centennial of São Paulo. Following a participatory process with users and local residents, the city government has begun planning for the next decade. With this in mind, the 033 ideas competition hosted by Portal Projetar centers on the following question: “How can we make Ibirapuera Park better for daily users and occasional visitors?”

The School of Architecture, Art and Design at Tec de Monterrey in Guadalajara, in partnership with the Japan Foundation, invites you to the lecture "Considering the Forgotten Margins" by architect Chie Konno (TECO).
TECO is an architecture firm founded and led by Chie Konno and Rie Allison. Established in 2015, the firm is known for developing social projects that address issues affecting Japan, such as an aging population and a lack of care facilities for both the elderly and children. The firm designs solutions that act as active agents in shaping community behavior. TECO takes a holistic approach to project development; consequently, their work also encompasses interior and furniture design.

CLEM 2019: 4th Latin American Congress on Timber Structures

2019 marks the tenth anniversary of the first edition held in Concepción, Chile. That pioneering congress in Latin America brought together academics, professionals, technicians, and companies from the forestry and timber sector, building a solid foundation of critical mass that, over the years, has led to productive exchanges, shared approaches, and the development of strategies among countries in the region. Subsequent editions in 2017 in Junín (Argentina) and 2018 in San Carlos (Brazil) solidified its status as a synergistic forum.
