Book Launch: “Workshop Alberto Veiga: Interview with Pedro Alonso”

In October 2016, the School of Architecture at the Universidad San Sebastián launched a series of inter-school workshops aimed at promoting critical discussion in architecture, using the project as a vector.

The second iteration of this workshop, led by prominent Spanish architect Alberto Veiga, is documented in this bilingual publication, which features a transcript of his lecture and an interview conducted by Pedro Alonso. Furthermore, the book compiles the work of the participants—ten national architecture schools—who designed various proposals that sought to discuss and challenge the widely internationalized notion of Chilean architecture, often represented by architectural objects placed in pristine, nearly untouched natural environments.

This second publication in the series associated with the USS International Workshop will be launched at the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile, with a presentation panel featuring architects Patricio Mardones and Rodrigo Aguilar.
