Graphisoft will host its annual global event online, September 14-16. Building Together 2021 will offer insights into the most challenging and critical issues facing architects and engineers today. Through a carefully curated online program, the conference will highlight critical themes in the AEC industry, with more than 30 leading architects and experts from around the world participating.
The conference will delve into such topics — among others — as the growing focus on sustainability and climate resistance and architecture's role in fostering equity and social justice. On Day 1 of the conference, there will be a special focus on educating the architects of the future. The roundtable debate will be followed by the presentation of the results of Graphisoft's global recruitment survey entitled Hiring the Next Generation of Architects. The results will reveal what companies look for when hiring new talent, as well as what students, fresh graduates, and new hires should focus on when applying for jobs in their chosen field.

Detroit Month of Design is a citywide celebration of creativity that gathers designers and the greater community to celebrate Detroit’s role as a national and global design capital. The Applied Arts from Nature Residency is an initiative organized between Passa Ao Futuro and Loulé Criativo with the aim of exploring and preserving the intangible heritage and the Portuguese cultural heritage of local crafts(wo)men; re-thinking the historical past, facilitating collaboration and innovation between crafts(wo)men and national and international designers and architects in the creation of new contemporary utilitarian pieces; inspiring younger generations to continue this heritage specifically within the practices of regenerative design.
The contest ‘Eurasian Prize’ dates from 2003, more than 8,500 professional architects, urban planners, designers from 41 countries have taken part in this event for this period of time.
Award ceremony will be held at the summit ArchEurasia in Yekaterinburg (Russia) The competition of architecture and design Eurasian Prize 2021 drew entries from 29 countries. Accepting entries for the international competition of architecture and design Eurasian Prize 2021 completed. The annual event advocates design-assist collaboration to advance new technologies and encourage the use of architectural terra cotta in performative facades.
BUFFALO, NY — The sixth consecutive Architectural Ceramic Assemblies Workshop (ACAW) will take place on August 19, 2021, commencing with an opening keynote speech by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, principals of Tod Williams and Billie Tsien Architects | Partners. ACAW is an industry-academic collaborative workshop hosted by Boston Valley Terra Cotta, with Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture and the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. Its aim is to broaden industry professionals’ knowledge of the performance of terra cotta, encouraging a deeper understanding of manufacturing architectural ceramics that will inform next-generation designs. Guided by terra cotta manufacturers and ceramicists, eight teams of architects, façade engineers, and educators work together over the course of the workshop to share knowledge and gain experience developing terra cotta wall assemblies. Visual mockups – constructed by the teams on-site at Boston Valley – will be virtually presented during the conference. The event is concluded by closing keynote speaker Mic Patterson, PHD and LEED AP+ of Façade Tectonics Institute.
