“Belligerent Eyes | 5K Confinement” is an upcoming, pioneering project on contemporary image production. Conceived and designed by Luigi Alberto Cippini and developed in collaboration with film director Giovanni Fantoni Modena, “Belligerent Eyes” sets itself as an experimental media research facility geared in the spaces of Fondazione Prada’s Venetian venue, Ca’ Corner della Regina, from 27 May to 11 September 2016.
At Home in Britain re-examines how we live and speculates on the future of housing in Britain. Taking the cottage, the terraced house and the flat as a starting point and using RIBA Collections as stimulus, six newly commissioned works from contemporary architecture practices Jamie Fobert Architects, Mae, Maison Edouard François, Mecanoo, Studio Weave and vPPR transform these three familiar housing types to reflect the way we live and work in the 21st century.
For one week each spring at Columbia GSAPP, the entire school is on display. The studios, seminar rooms, hallways, and stairwells of Avery, Fayerweather, and Buell Halls are transformed into temporary exhibition spaces for the End of Year Show. The exhibition organizes the work of students across all programs into a comprehensive image of the school’s current research interests, design approaches, conceptual orientations, and representation strategies.
Christian Kerez will close the 2nd Critical Distance cycle organized by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale. The Swiss architect is this year invited to represent his country at the 15th Venice Architectural Biennale. In his architecture, Kerez explores the structural elements as the most visible element of his buildings, strongly illustrated in projects such as a school in Leutschenbach, Switzerland, or a skyscraper in China.
Lina Bo Bardi: Together, will be on display at the Miami Center for Architecture and Design from May 13 - July 29th. The exhibition celebrates and explores the vision of Brazilian modernist Lina Bo Bardi. Curated by Noemi Blager, Together reveals Bo Bardi's legacy in social design both through her own works, and with new works by artists who share her philosophy.

Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design and the urban environment, will continue its 2015-2016 Panel Discussion Series on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 with “Economics and Architecture” moderated by Jeff Whittington, Executive Producer and Host at KERA 90.1.
Izmo will run the 6th edition of the International Summer School in Turin (Italy) from 20th to 29th of July 2016. This year, the focus will be on the public space, and students will design and build a mobile green space for sitting, working, studying and playing (parklet) in order to furnish the indoor square of the converted INCET factory.
The course aims at attracting students – both under and post graduates -, professionals and, in general, anyone who is interested in the subject of urban and landscape design.
Architectural disAssociation - A reflection on the state of the education of architecture at the AA. How were buildings constructed in the 18th- and early 19th-centuries in Virginia? What did the builders use? What can the collecting habits of 85 generations of rats reveal? Valuable clues and answers can be found in the architectural objects and fragments from both surviving and demolished buildings and will be revealed in Architectural Clues to 18th-Century Williamsburg, which opens on May 28, 2016, and will remain on view indefinitely at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, one of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg.

The Hong Kong Exhibition at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) will have its Opening Ceremony on 28th May 2016 in Venice (Preview period from 26th to 27th May). Genoa Summer School is an international workshop ideated by Vittorio Pizzigoni and Valter Scelsi, and organized within the Department in Science for Architecture, Università degli Studi di Genova.

On Tuesday, January 26, Arhitext Design Foundation launched the second edition of East Centric Architecture Triennale, which will take place in Bucharest between September 15 and October 9, 2016. The theme of this year's edition is Drifting. The Triennale features three modules – Drifting Architecture (thematic projects exhibition), Critical Discourses (essay contest), and Arhitext East Centric Awards (projects contest) – and a special project named Agora Experiments (a workshop based on an international idea contest and multimedia exhibition).
