We are pleased to announce an evening conversation hosted by the Pan-African Biennale (PAB), in collaboration with Black Females in Architecture (BFA), a collective that advocates for greater representation, support, and visibility for Black women working across architecture and the built environment.
“Shifting the Center: From Fragility to Resilience” introduces the curatorial direction of the Biennale’s inaugural 2026 edition and explores how Africa’s spatial and historical conditions — from colonisation and displacement to ecological and economic pressures — continue to shape global narratives of identity and architecture. The event gathers architects, academics, and cultural practitioners to reflect on resilience, memory, and vernacular knowledge within contemporary design.
