Text description provided by the architects. This project is known as The Great Hornbill Gate, and it is located in Arunachal Pradesh, a unique geographical area in the northeast of India. Built by STUDIOARO, the structure is designed in the shape of a majestic bird known as the Great Hornbill and constructed entirely of locally sourced bamboo and cane. It stands as the entry gate of a new airport, symbolizing a bridge between the cultures and traditions of the region as they come into contact with the modern world.
