MArch. Master in Architecture, Design and Innovation

MArch. Architecture and Design.

MArch Valencia originates as a cultural meeting point for professional architects and designers, students and companies with a same set of values; with the aim of bringing together and sharing all different experiences that arise during creative processes.

A nexus between the academical, professional and enterprise worlds, which is vital nowadays.

This different master and postgraduate MArch programs , are directed by Fran Silvestre and feature influential speakers and studios from the current architecture as Alvaro Siza Studio, Souto de Moura Studio, Manuel Aires Mateus Architects, OAB • Ferrater, Juan Domingo Santos and Fran Silvestre Architects.

The process of learning develops by following practical activities that allow to systematize and apply technical knowledge to the development of different phases of professional activity.

These experiences converge in Espai Alfaro, a place of artistic tradition which allows for synergies to be generated between all different contributors through the proposed teaching programs.

The Place

March programs are placed on one hand on the urban campus of the European University of Valencia, located in the city center.

On the other hand, Espai Alfaro is a place of artistic tradition where Art, Design, and Architecture come together. It was born as a workshop and studio of Valencian sculptor Andreu Alfaro and was designed by architect Emilio Giménez. In 1995, the space is enlarged by the same architect, building the space for the studio and the Alfaro Hofmann Collection.

Nowadays, this space is conceived as a place of interaction and relationship between different cultural standing points through exhibitions, events, teaching programs and professional practice.

A space of 7.000sqm composed by the Workshops, the Square, the Library, the MArch Classroom, the Alfaro Hofmann Studio, the Fran Silvestre Architects Studio, the Alfaro Hofmann Collection and the Space for Temporary Exhibitions.

Student Profile

The programs are aimed at students in their last year of Architecture, architects, building engineers, interior designers, and graduates or licensed in other creative disciplines.
