PechaKucha, or “chit chat” in Japanese, is a concise presentation style, comprised of twenty slides at a duration of twenty seconds each that advance automatically. PK Nights invite creative thinkers of all fields to meet, present projects, and exchange ideas in this 20 x 20 format in over 1000 cities around the world.

“Chicago Schools” is an international peer-reviewed graduate student symposium that explores the interplay between the individual and collective in the process of making history. The symposium, hosted by the IIT College of Architecture PhD Program in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Biennial, will engage with and enhance the dialogue around the Biennial theme, “Make New History,” by highlighting graduate student contributions in architecture, design, humanities, and architectural and urban history. Papers may revisit past and present Chicago Schools - from Henry van Brunt’s "School" and William James’ "Chicago School of Thought" to Sigfried Giedion’s "Chicago School of Architecture,” and beyond - as well as the emergence of new historiographic and architectural traditions within a global context.

SB-LAB 2017 - International Conference on Advances in Sustainable Cities and Buildings Development adopted the UN 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development as the reference for its scope and goals. COCA.17: The First International Architectural Communication Congress
The first Architectural Communication Congress (COCA.17), under the title MediActions [Mediations + Actions], will be celebrated from the 17th to the 19th of May in Madrid. This congress is framed within the Architectural Communication Master’s Degree (MACA) of the Superior Technical School of Architecture in Madrid (ETSAM) and within it participate the Hypermedia Research and Innovation Group and the Department of Architectural Graphical Ideation (IGA) in collaboration with the Architectural and Design Doctoral School of the Università degli Studi di Genova (ADD). It seeks to create common spaces between multiple disciplines and social agents. With the
