INC Architecture & Design has launched sales on their first Brooklyn development, Parlour, a 12-story boutique-sized residential building situated between the historic Park Slope and Gowanus.

The project's distinctive design honors classical architecture with a series of grand arches, laid across a pale brick facade. Inspired by the Roman Colosseum, the labyrinths of Xavier Corbero’s home, and Prospect Park’s arched bridges, Adam Rolston, principal of INC Architecture & Design, wanted to bring back the “ancient rhythm and romanticism” of classical facades and nestle them into a contemporary context.

David Chipperfield and Euroboden have collaborated on the design of a five-story building in Munich, located near the city’s Herzog Park. The 2800-square-meter scheme seeks to “fit sensitively into the historic fabric of the neighborhood.”

The design process revolved around the incorporation of history and pattern from the surrounding environment, without copying or resorting to historicization. The result is a scheme which is “simultaneously self-confident yet restrained, a building that integrates itself into its context without subordinating itself.”

Project Design Group has released details of their KentPlus YALOVA Wellness SPA Resort in Armutlu, Turkey. Situated in an idyllic, hilly region with sweeping sea views, the masterplan seeks to “enable residents to re-establish contact with nature” through buildings “partially lost” in the landscape.

Combining residential, hotel, and social facilities, the 330,000-square-meter scheme contains 14 different apartment block typologies, with a total of 163 blocks and 1001 apartments.
