Monte d’Oiro Wine Tasting Room

The Monte d’Oiro Wine Tasting Room competition is part of the Bee Breeders competition series set in Portugal and is a collaboration with Quinta Do Monte D’Oiro, a family wine project located in the Lisbon Wine Region.

Quinta do Monte d’Oiro has been known for its idyllic wine-making conditions since the 17th century, with a privileged terroir, resting on clay-limestone soils and the influence of Atlantic winds. This unique combination has created wines with a great freshness, elegance and balance for years.

Kurgi Observation Tower

Kurgi farm is located in the North Latvia Biosphere Reserve, one of the most beautiful and scenic locations in Northern Europe and listed as a nature conservation area of international importance by UNESCO. Kurgi farm is owned by a young couple, Kristaps and Laura, who were mesmerised by the natural beauty of the area. So much so that they decided to live there permanently.

Kurgi farm’s primary focus is horse breeding, but not just any horses. Kurgi farm is one of the only breeding programmes in place for the Latvian Ardennes, a rare breed of local horse that is dangerously close

Abu Dhabi Flamingo Visitor Centre

The Al Wathba Wetland Reserve in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi is home to a vibrance of wildlife, the most famous of which are its flamingo population. The magnificent waves of pink flock to the reserve every autumn to spend the cooler winter months residing in the wetlands until spring, as many as 4,000 at a time.

The Abu Dhabi Flamingo Visitor Center competition is the second in a series set in the Al Wathba Wetland Reserve; following the success of the Flamingo Observation Tower competition, in partnership with EAD (Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi).

Winning Designs for Abu Dhabi Flamingo Observation Tower

Bee Breeders has announced the winners of the Abu Dhabi Flamingo Observation Tower competition. Situated in the Al Wathba Reserve, 40 kilometers southeast of Abu Dhabi, the competition site oversees five square kilometers of wetlands, salt flats, and fossilized sands and dunes.
