Call for Submissions: The 2020 AZ Awards for Design Excellence

AZURE announces the opening of submissions to the 2020 AZ Awards!

Now entering its 10th year, the AZ Awards celebrates the best in architecture and design from around the world. Each winner will receive the AZ Awards trophy, get international exposure through our media partners, and have their achievements recognized by AZURE in print, online and at the AZ Awards gala in June 2020.

The AZ Awards is open to architects, interior designers, landscape architects, product designers, industrial designers, experimental graphic designers, product manufacturers and students in design-related disciplines.

Critical Round-Up: The Most Important Buildings and Events of 2015

The past 12 months have given us plenty to talk about: 2015 saw the opening of several marquee new museums, and the field took an introspective turn with the “State of the Art of Architecture” at the Chicago Biennial. Now it’s December, and that means it’s time for many critics to look back at the triumphs and failures of the year past and make predictions for the year to come.

To add to our own list of the most inspiring leaders, projects and people from 2015, we found what some of our favorite critics had to say, including Oliver Wainwright of The Guardian, Mark Lamster and Alexandra Lange for Curbed, the Los Angeles Times’ Christopher Hawthorne, and Julie V Iovine for The Wall Street Journal. AZURE Announces AZ Award Winners

AZURE has announced the winners of its fifth annual AZ Awards, which recognize excellence in design and architecture worldwide. The 19 winners were chosen from a shortlist of 66 projects.

The jury included Winka Dubbeldam of Archi-Tectonics (New York), architect Brendan MacFarlane of Jakob + MacFarlane (Paris), designer Anwar Mekhayech of the Design Agency (Toronto), landscape architect Janet Rosenberg of Janet Rosenberg & Studio (Toronto) and designer Philippe Malouin (London).

Call for Entries: AZ AWARDS 2015

AZURE Magazine is inviting architects, designers, students, clients and manufacturers to submit to the fifth annual AZ AWARDS competition (#azawards15) and get their exceptional work the recognition it deserves. Established in 2011, the AZ Awards is an international competition celebrating design excellence. The winners and finalists of the AZ Awards greatly benefit from the exposure offered by this widely recognized competition.

Entries are juried by a panel of international design experts at the forefront of their professions. Finalists and winners will be published in the 2015 AZ Awards Annual and recognized at the AZ Awards Gala in Toronto on June 19, 2015.

The competition is open to architects and designers from all disciplines, as well as students, manufacturers and clients for work completed by December 31, 2014.
