One-of-a-kind inclusive community grounded in neurodiversity, India Autism Center (IAC) is a multidisciplinary non-profit organization for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other related conditions. The competition site of 3000 sq ft (built up of 4500 sq ft) is located within the campus, an integrated 39-acre community neighborhood, currently under construction at Sirakole, West Bengal.The project is envisioned to create an inclusive community - with the provision of residential, educational, vocational, clinical, and recreational services as well as employment avenues.

As part of the celebration of the Day of the Mediterranean 2023, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) is organising a student competition on Urban Design entitled “Urban Solutions to Climate Change in the Mediterranean”. Undergraduate/Graduate students in relevant Schools/Departments, based in any of the 43 UfM Member States can participate. However eligible proposals must be located in one UfM Member States around the Mediterranean (see below for details).

To reform and boost the existing spatial and visual identity of a railway station into that of an urban centre—with a mix of uses such as healthcare, commerce, education, leisure, business, entertainment and so on—reshaping the interaction of the users with the place.
The European Cultural Academy (ECA) in Venice is offering a full scholarship in 2023 to participants presenting the best project ideas for exploring architecture and the city using film and sound. The prize is a fee-paid place on our "Venicinema" course (4-15 September 2023) worth €1650. The course is led by François Penz, Professor of Architecture and Moving Image at the University of Cambridge, UK.
Global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. invites students to see where their designs can take them by entering the seventh Vectorworks Design Scholarship. The global competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students in major disciplines related to architecture, landscape architecture, landscape design, entertainment and interior design. Students can submit a new design or past project from any of their classes for the chance to win up to $10,000 USD. Competition entries will be evaluated by an expert panel of international judges in two rounds. First-round winners will each receive up to $3,000 USD and will be entered for the chance to win the grand prize Richard Diehl Award, worth up to an additional $7,000 USD. Wiswakharman Expo is an annual architecture event series held by architecture students of Universitas Gadjah Mada. Every year, Wiswakharman Expo brings a fascinating theme. This year we hold an International Architecture Competition with the theme of “Communal Space for Social Raise”
This year's MiG challenge reflects on Moshe Safdie's statement "I want my buildings to take root and look as if they've always been there. It isn't about pastiche or adapting what's already there. It's about trying to blend the future and the past." This difficult task raises the problematics of the site within the framework of the glocal - a term coined in the 1990s to think about globaliזation dialectically, as an interdependent process of integration and diversification, in which the local is shaped by the global, but also that locality becomes ever more important either as resistance or as a motor of innovation. In light of recent developments such as the worldwide pandemic, climate crisis, and the fracturing of the international political order, it is time to reconsider the agency of the local. The 2023 MIG prize challenge is to rethink how the local is redefined by these worldwide challenges through cooperative and confrontational interaction with other localities and scales of reference. The proposed project should make a clear statement in regards to the status of locality in its different material, environmental, cultural and social aspects as it adapts to inflows and outflows of people, ideas, memories, technologies, resources, natures and capital, and test its architectural implications in the design of a building that is both rooted in the place's past and proposes a vision of a possible future. The project must be detailed to the scale of a building (i.e. 1:100 or 1:200) and include an explanation of the ideology behind the design. The design must address the well-being of the users and respect the surrounding environment of the proposed projects.
120 Hours is one of the world's largest architectural competitions for students, by students. This year's competition will be held in collaboration with the UIA World Congress of Architects in Copenhagen, as part of the NextGen program with a session on July 5th. The student assignment will follow the theme of the conference; Sustainable futures- Leave no one behind. In this year's competition we seek to critically explore what sustainability means both within the industry and education, and we want to receive contributions that offer a wealth of suggestions and thoughts around current practices and narratives.
