Competition Objective:
The objective of the competition is to revitalize a portion of Tchoupitoulas Street, connecting the CBD to the residential stretch of Uptown New Orleans. Applicants will be required to analyze and revitalize a specific site along Tchoupitoulas while envisioning & implementing innovative design strategies that could be replicated along the corridor to create a vibrant, inclusive, and pedestrian-friendly street that incorporates the unique history, culture and character of New Orleans.
Site Location: 415 Jackson Avenue & 2200 Waters Street, New Orleans, LA
Program:
The aim is to rejuvenate the intersection of Jackson and Tchoupitoulas by creating a vibrant blend of commercial/retail and public spaces. While the following program distribution offers a general framework, applicants are strongly encouraged to think creatively and propose alternative uses that align with the overall vision
Eligibility Criteria:
The competition is open to all active collegiate students in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban planning concentrations throughout the United States. Applicants may apply as individuals or teams, and there are no restrictions on the number of team members. However, each team must have a designated team leader who will be responsible for communication with the competition organizers.

There will be three winners, who will receive the following prizes:
First place: $2,000 USD
Second place: $750 USD
Third place: $250 USD
