AA Visiting School Patagonia

Against the backdrop of the current climate crisis and environmental collapse, the 2022 AA Visiting School (Architectural Association Visiting School) will explore future scenarios for the Chilean Patagonia, assuming it will undergo a process of rapid urbanization and increasing disputes over its resources and potential.

On September 21 at 6:00 PM, Escola da Cidade is hosting a conversation between alumni, current members of the school (students, faculty, or coordinators), and prospective students interested in our undergraduate program in Architecture and Urbanism. Architecture Competition: African Urban School

Architecture and the Person Congress 2021

From Monday, September 27, to Friday, October 1, 2021, the Architecture and Person Congress will take place. Titled MIRALLES. A l'Escola, the fifth and final exhibition in the tribute cycle to Enric Miralles highlights his academic work as a professor at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). This significant facet of the architect's career is poorly documented, despite its international impact, as Miralles served as a professor, visiting lecturer, and speaker at prominent universities worldwide.

Screening of the short film Reusing Posidonia

On September 22 at 7:00 p.m., Roca Barcelona Gallery and Technal invite you to the screening of Reusing Posidonia, a documentary about an exemplary project carried out on the island of Formentera that demonstrates the possibility of building with lower resource and energy consumption, fewer CO2 emissions, and greater comfort and habitability. Following the screening, there will be a discussion with the audience featuring architect Carles Oliver, author of the project and winner of the 2018 FAD Architecture Award; documentary director Marta Palacín; and building sustainability consultant Gerardo Wadel.

Panel Discussion: City and Constitution

What are the cities we want to live in like? How can we build them through participation? And how do we foster community and social cohesion among citizens? These are the questions being asked by those in charge of territorial planning in the country, and they will be discussed at the "City and Constitution" panel discussion, organized by the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture, which will take place on Wednesday, September 29, at 7:30 PM (Chile time) via Zoom.

Latin American Architecture Biennial 2025

The Latin American Architecture Biennial in Pamplona (BAL) is a forum that, every two years, brings together the most recent and notable examples of emerging architecture in Latin America. The event strengthens ties between Latin American and Spanish architects, creating a shared space for dialogue, dissemination, and architectural creation that serves as a solid counterpoint to the Anglo-Saxon sphere.

Its primary objective is to contribute to the strengthening of emerging Latin American architecture as a tool for building a more just, open, democratic, and sustainable society.

15th Academic Week of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (SEMAU – UFRRJ)

CURRICULUM exhibition opens at IABsp and concludes its Brazilian tour before the Biennial

After touring Brasília (from April 8 to May 7, at the Galeria Christina Jucá, FAU-UnB) and São Luís (from June 7 to July 17, at the Museu Casa de Nhozinho), the international exhibition CURRICULUM arrives in São Paulo for its final stop in Brazil. The exhibition celebrates the contemporary work of Latin American architects trained in Spain and will be open to the public starting September 17 on the mezzanine of the IABsp building (Rua Bento Freitas, 306, Vila Buarque), a symbolic location for both São Paulo and national architecture.
