The Academic Week of Architecture and Urbanism (SAAU) is an annual event organized by and for students, aiming to provide new knowledge and experiences for all students in the field. It takes place at the Centro Universitário Católica de Santa Catarina in Joinville and hosts an audience of approximately 150 people per day.
The first edition of SAAU took place in 2017. Since then, the event has hosted over 120 workshops and lectures with local and guest speakers, featuring professionals from Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, and Lisbon. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the academic week was held online, and in 2021, the event transitioned to a hybrid format. In-person attendance was reinstated in 2022 and continues to this day.
