To discuss the challenges posed by climate change to urban planning and city architecture, the Instituto Ling and the Brazilian Association of Architectural Offices of Rio Grande do Sul (AsBEA-RS) are hosting the course "Architecture and Climate Change: Pathways to a Sustainable Future." Designed for the general public and anyone interested in the subject, the event brings together four professionals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to share the latest developments in their fields and identify paths aligned with current times.
The first session will take place on Wednesday, September 25, at 7:00 PM, with architect and researcher Érica Dall’Asta discussing the past and future of sustainable architecture at the cultural center in Porto Alegre. Subsequently, audiences from across the country can attend two online sessions: one on October 2 with architect Eduardo Souza, an editor at ArchDaily, who will present resilient and sustainable materials through international case studies; and another on October 10 with architect and researcher Luiza Muñoz, who will address the adaptation of cities and buildings to climate change.
