The Laboratory of Design Criticism diploma program at Universidad Finis Terrae is the first continuing education program in Chile focused on the criticism and theory of contemporary architectural projects, addressing a recognized gap in this field at the national level.

The Seminar on the Design of Resilient Water Territories will take place on August 23, organized by the Architecture program in collaboration with the Master of Architecture, City, and Landscape program at the Universidad del Desarrollo.

In this new edition of 'Architectural Tour,' we will visit the Central Jungle of Peru (San Martín de Pangoa) to explore seven significant educational projects alongside Semillas, the architectural firm behind the designs.

The two-week workshop at the UNI-BH University in Belo Horizonte aims to study issues related to the city's downtown area to develop an architectural and urban proposal for presentation to the local administration. Design activities will be accompanied by a series of lectures by guest speakers and three guided tours to Ouro Preto, Inhotim, and Pampulha. The workshop will be coordinated by Alberto Collet, Carlos Maia, Débora Vieira, and Igor Macedo, who form the group AAP – Alternative Academic Project. Workshop guests include Augusto Angelini (Santiago, Chile), Alexandre Brasil, Paula Zasnicoff, Arquitetos Associados (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Gustavo Penna (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), Luciano Kruk (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Diego Arraigada (Rosario, Argentina), and Bloco Arquitetos (Brasilia, Brazil).

Since 2015, Galería NAC has worked consistently to promote contemporary Chilean art, specifically the work of emerging artists. After four years, we are proud to note that we have held over 80 exhibitions, participated in more than 10 fairs, and established a visual identity centered on art and architecture for which NAC is now recognized.

Participants are asked to redesign Al-Umma Park as a green lung within the capital's dense urban fabric, creating an optimistic vision for the future and a safe space for public gatherings and socializing. Proposals must reflect the park's legacy and integrate existing artworks (the Freedom Monument, the mural, and the statue) into their redesign.

The inaugural “Barcelona CityMakers Lab 2019” will take place from October 14 to 20, offering a week to learn about and experience Barcelona. Within the academic dialogue and reflection space 'Del territorio al Detalle,' which brings together architecture professors, students, and renowned architects, the spin-off 'Del territorio al detalle .re' explores, through informal conversations with key figures, the thesis that a territory's richness stems from its ability to renew itself by activating its own disused spaces, thereby transforming them into challenges and resources.

The Lima International Architecture Biennial (BIALIMA 2021) will take place from August 9 to 14. Part of Peru's Bicentennial agenda and supported by the Ministry of Housing, the event aims to create a space for collective architectural exhibitions and public outreach, while simultaneously fostering reflection and discussion on how we should conceive our cities and how architects design spaces for human beings.
