The Lima International Architecture Biennial (BIALIMA 2021) will take place from August 9 to 14. Part of Peru's Bicentennial agenda and supported by the Ministry of Housing, the event aims to create a space for collective architectural exhibitions and public outreach, while simultaneously fostering reflection and discussion on how we should conceive our cities and how architects design spaces for human beings.
Organized by the Lima Regional Chapter of the College of Architects of Peru, the event consists of three parallel programs: Keynote Lectures, International Workshops, and Competitions and Awards. In this regard, the Dean of the CAP Lima Regional Chapter and President of BIALIMA 2021, architect Lourdes Giusti, stated that the main purpose of BIALIMA 2021 is to involve civil society in the important task of creatively imagining our future, showcasing the diverse fields in which architects operate and highlighting the actors and managers contributing to the positive transformation of our cities.
