Since 2015, Galería NAC has worked consistently to promote contemporary Chilean art, specifically the work of emerging artists. After four years, we are proud to note that we have held over 80 exhibitions, participated in more than 10 fairs, and established a visual identity centered on art and architecture for which NAC is now recognized.
In this context, Tierra firme reflects the gallery's curatorial direction while presenting a selection of its representative artists. Featuring both new and existing works, the exhibition offers a series of reflections on the historical evolution of the landscape—one that has shifted from being a "happy copy of Eden," as depicted in historical Chilean landscape painting, to a corroded panorama resulting from the advance of modernity and a consistent policy of natural resource exploitation.
