The fourth edition of the International Forum on Urban Interventions (FIIU) will take place this year in Lima from August 5 to 11.

The event has launched an open call for collectives, students, activists, organized citizens, and private or public institutions to participate by sharing their initiatives and projects on one of the region's most significant stages for urban interventions and public space.

The event will take place on August 14; space is limited.

"Recuerdo tu nombre" is a large-scale concert held at Villa Músicos del Mundo in the San Joaquín commune of Santiago. The concert aims to strengthen the bonds between community members and their daily environment, offering an opportunity to learn about the history of an artistic discipline while advancing the development of a personal language in the construction of a musical event.

The International Academy for Design and Health, South American chapter, will host an event in Manaus to foster the exchange of ideas regarding the future of healthcare, featuring national and international speakers to enrich the gathering.

The Ministry of Housing, Land Use Planning and Environment, through the National Housing Directorate (DINAVI), and the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism (FADU), through the Committee on Habitability, are joining forces to launch an open ideas competition for students, faculty, and professionals. The goal is to formulate design ideas that offer alternatives and innovations to current management, design, and construction methods for urban housing in Uruguay.

From June 25 to August 26, the last of six calls for the International Ideas Competition for Expo 2023 is open. This submission, open to all architecture professionals who wish to participate, involves the design of the main boulevard and a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists.

Organized by the Sociedad Central de Arquitectos (SCA) and the Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (CAPBA), and sponsored by the Federación Argentina de Entidades de Arquitectos (FADEA), this sixth competition covers the design of a public space that will become a major science and knowledge park once the Expo concludes.

“Thematic Pavilions” is the fifth of six international ideas competitions for the construction of the Expo 2023 buildings. The event was awarded to Argentina following a vote at the General Assembly of the BIE (Bureau International des Expositions).

From June 18 through Monday, August 5, architecture professionals are invited to submit design proposals for the two Thematic Pavilions. Following the exhibition, these structures will be repurposed as spaces for participatory, interactive, and immersive activities focused on creativity and knowledge.

Since 2010, the School of Architecture at Universidad Mayor in Santiago has held an annual international workshop, inviting architecture schools from around the world to collaborate for nine days. Each invited school sends a professor and a group of students who, alongside our school's students and faculty, think, discuss, and develop proposals on a specific architectural theme. Beyond the work itself, related lectures are held, and the final results are presented to an external jury.

This edition of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] explores various approaches to architecture and the city through the lens of architectural drawing. This semester, the lectures will focus on the section—the representation of a building cut vertically. This tool not only reveals the structure of a work for construction purposes but also illustrates the relationship between interior and exterior space, the scale of volumes, circulation, and light.

Last March, at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City, a designer and three architects from Mexico, Italy, and Chile discussed marketing in architecture during MEXTROPOLI 2019, Latin America's largest architecture and urbanism festival.

What if we all, as urban travelers, came together to talk and build? This is the goal of this theoretical-practical workshop: to join forces on an experimental journey to build common spaces within the city.
