The European Manuel de Solà-Morales Prize recognizes the best university research in the field of urbanism leading to a doctoral degree (PhD) every two years. The prize honors the memory of professor and architect Manuel de Solà-Morales i Rubió (1939–2012), a master of urbanism understood as an intellectual and creative activity committed to improving cities through what he called "an insistent search."

Taking on the challenge of equity and sustainability, ethical banking in Chile, through Doble Impacto, is actively seeking institutions that meet the criteria for evaluation and the requirements to join its financing system. For the seventh consecutive year, the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture is inaugurating its final degree project exhibition at the iconic architectural complex of the Reales Atarazanas in Barcelona, the current home of the Maritime Museum. Titled Barcel/on/a/line. Green urban strategies from river to river, the exhibition arrives amidst an ongoing debate regarding the difficult balance between the economic and social roles of Barcelona's waterfront, which is currently strained by mass tourism. It presents proposals that connect and reprogram the open spaces along the 10-kilometer coastline between the Besòs and Llobregat rivers, aiming to strengthen its civic character and its connection to the adjacent urban fabric.

The NGO Soluções Urbanas and Arquitecasa, in partnership with Banco do Povo – Crédito Solidário and supported by the São Paulo Architects Union (SASP), are hosting the course "Experience in Technical Assistance for Housing Improvements," led by architect Mariana Estevão.

Registration for the "Lugar de Partilha" Self-Construction Laboratory at the Conjunto Habitacional da Guarda in Perafita, Matosinhos, is open until July 16. The program, which will host 10 participants, will take place from July 28 to August 10.

Watch Day is a World Monuments Fund event designed to engage the community in raising awareness about the risks and potential of the 25 sites worldwide added to the organization's Watch program every two years.

Taking place in Marvão, in the Portuguese Upper Alentejo from July 16 to 29, this international workshop on architectural drawing and design will examine traditional construction, architecture, and urbanism to produce a manual for conservation and new traditional construction in the area. During the final days, participants will design improvement proposals for various public spaces in the town, utilizing the previously developed manual. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas and collaborate with students and faculty from diverse nationalities. Practical work will be complemented by lectures from experts in traditional vernacular architecture and construction, as well as regional trips and visits to workshops and construction sites.

The Municipality of Cascais, with technical support from the OASRS, has launched the "Sommer Pavilion International Ideas Competition" for the construction of a temporary intervention in the Jardim da Parada, adjacent to Casa Sommer in the center of Cascais.
