Archstorming is collaborating in this new competition with His Hands on Africa. a non-profit organization born in 2016 that wants to address the lack of dental services by equipping communities to achieve sustainability with dignity. The chosen location is Rwanda, a small country in the heart of Africa.

In this trail of the progress we have caused the past century’s warming of the earth, by releasing gases that trap heat energy in the atmosphere. These gases, known as greenhouse gases are now at their highest levels than they have been in the past 800,000 years. These greenhouse gases cause a rise in the Earth’s overall temperature causing “Global Warming”.

Paris, the capital of France has been inhabited since the beginning of 3rd Century BC along the banks of river Seine. It started as the hub of trading center which eventually led to its growth as a metropolis. 

Population growth, increasing urbanisation and social change pose new challenges for architecture and urban planning. Reflecting these processes of change, Superscape opens a creative space for unconventional ideas meant to deliver new impulses to real-life architectural output and urban development. 22 years after its foundation, ALA-Assoarchitetti announces the eleventh edition of the Dedalo Minosse International Prize for Commissioning a Building.

SAY IT LOUD

The exhibition features projects by the diverse design professionals, as well as quotes and video interviews on their experiences in the architecture and design professions. The concept of this exhibit is "To see our faces, hear our voices, feel our impact within the colorful tapestry of our heritage." SAY IT LOUD is the activation of a national movement of sharing, protecting and celebrating the journey of the underrepresented to inspire the next generation. SAY IT LOUD engages diverse audiences through programming organized at the time of exhibition to elevate the identities and contributions of minority architects and designers with, curated lectures, and documentaries that testify to the provided value of their built work and its spatial impact. To date, our SAY IT LOUD exhibitions have been viewed by an estimate total 22,000 visitors since January 2017. From inception, multiple online publications (such as Curbed and The Architects Newspaper) with large subscription bases have helped promote the exhibitions further expanding its impact. Featured firms expressed an increase in business which they attributed to the exhibition and reporting on SAY IT LOUD.

Since graduating from the Cooper Union School of Architecture in 1996, Vladimir Belogolovsky has crossed disciplinary boundaries by transitioning from practicing architecture to becoming an exhibition curator and critic to evolving as a conceptual installation artist in his pursuit of continuously scrutinizing two fundamental questions – what is an exhibition and what is architecture?

The U.S. Department of State and the National Endowment for the Arts Design Program announce that the call for applications has been posted for the U.S. presentation at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition held in Venice, Italy, from May 23 to November 29, 2020. The Venice Architecture Biennale exhibition is the premier showcase for revolutionary ideas in contemporary architecture and design through national venues.
