Aiming to rethink the legacy of the German-Venezuelan artist Gego and its historical significance within a contemporary context, LA ESCUELA___ invites participation in "Reticulárea colectiva: cartografías comunes" (Collective Reticulárea: Common Cartographies). This participatory project, conceptualized by artist Miguel Braceli, proposes building a space for encounter and learning centered on collaboration, networking, and the formation of affective bonds regarding art and territory, while addressing themes of diaspora and migration.
The second edition of the "Premios MA 2023" seeks to promote and highlight the work of contemporary women architects in Chile, featuring two award categories: Emerging and Established. On December 2, Paço Imperial will open the exhibition "Entroncados, Enroscados e Estirados," featuring new works by Rio de Janeiro-based artist Ana Holck. The exhibition marks a new phase in her distinguished 22-year career. Curated by Felipe Scovino, the show presents eight works from the three series that give the exhibition its name. Produced this year using porcelain and stainless steel—materials the artist had not previously utilized—the works bridge the concepts of painting and sculpture.

This course immerses students in the biodiversity of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest to inspire architectural design solutions that address climate change in Brazil. Situated in Alter do Chão, the "Caribbean of the Amazon," the course introduces local bio-construction techniques and the use of artificial intelligence software for conceptual design and communication as a project methodology. Students will explore how to apply functional and structural strategies from local flora and fauna to architectural design. They will gain hands-on experience with sustainable construction techniques using local materials and learn to utilize AI tools to enhance conceptual design. Throughout the course, students will merge nature and technology, culminating in the conceptual design and prototyping of an architectural extension for our partner institution, Escola da Floresta, in preparation for COP 30 in 2025. This experience will equip students with innovative approaches to sustainable design, directly informed by the Amazon's rich ecosystem.

Coletivo Sabinada invites you to the opening of the exhibition "(I)Mobilidades: Trajetórias e Narrativas," organized by the collective as part of the artistic experimentation project "(I)Mobilidade Urbana: Percursos e recortes de uma problemática social construída e invisibilizada" (PIBExA 2018/PROEXT-UFBA). Six artists from the emerging cultural scene in Bahia—Ana Elisa Improta, Tita Anjos, Oliver Dorea, Diego J. Cardoso, Milena Ferreira, and Janusberg Barbosa—were invited to create works based on research conducted by Coletivo Sabinada regarding the mobility of FAUFBA students. The findings, organized into a database, were made available to the artists, who used them as catalysts for their work.
